Our Congregational Fellowship Committee plans social events throughout the year. There are dinners, luncheons, tea parties all planned for our church family to gather and celebrate together. They sponsor an Easter Egg Hunt yearly for the children of the church. Other events are scheduled for all ages of the congregation.
Presbyterian
Women: This title actually includes all the women of the
church whether they belong to an established Circle or not. These
women support the mission of the church through service projects,
including women’s circles, study groups, fellowship opportunities,
social gatherings and fund-raising projects. Circles meet for Bible
Study each month in various places including members’ homes
or at the church. Presbyterian Women sponsor the annual Christmas
Dinner, Operation Christmas Child and the Holiday Bazaar among other
worthwhile projects during the year.
Wednesday Nites @ MSPC: This event takes place in six week sessions. Then breaks for a few weeks and continues again. It does not meet during summer. It consists of dinner starting at 6:15 PM until 6:50 PM. Classes of adult Bible Study, various spiritual classes, crafts, arts and other types of adult education takes place at 7:00 PM. At 7:00 PM the children go to our Children's Choir and craft class. Reservations are requested. Classes vary each session. There is a nominal charge for dinner and a cap for families.
Sixty
Plus and Minus Club: This group is open to all adults.
They meet for a shared dinner and program once a month, September
through May at 6:00pm in Fellowship Hall. They are presently meeting
the third Monday of the month.
Brown
Baggers: This fellowship group gets their name from their
lunch bags and meets every Wednesday at 11:30 am in the Church Library.
Soft
Doll Workshop: A fellowship of ladies
that meet Wednesdays 9:00 am until noon at church making dolls and stuffed animals of all shapes and
sizes distributed to needy persons in hospitals, nursing homes,
orphanages and at Christmas to families specified by Social Service
Agencies. Toys and Dolls
George’s
Toy Shop: A group of volunteers meet Wednesday mornings
from 8:30 to 11:00 am at the Christian Activity Center to make wooden
toys for underprivileged children. These are distributed at Christmas
to children identified by Social Service Agencies.
Pumpkin
Harvest: Many members work from noon until dark for two
weeks prior to Halloween selling pumpkins and other fall decorations
to raise funds for church projects.
Fall
Festival: During the Pumpkin Harvest, the Fall
Festival takes place on a Sunday afternoon in October. Our Pre-School,
elementary school and church collaborate to celebrate Fall with
booths of crafts, food, gifts, games and entertainment for kids
of all ages.
