Our Mission: Worshipping God. Welcoming All. Building Community.
Our Vision: God’s Love Unites Us All
This is the starting place for all that we are as a church. We begin by worshipping God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. Our aim is to worship God in a way that is meaningful and relevant to those gathered, and the it honors and magnifies our God. We worship together as a community in person every Sunday at 11 am and on our livestream. We also worship together for special occasions: Advent, Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, Lent, and Good Friday.
We are a church that aims to be inclusive: welcoming all people, no matter your race, your gender, your sexual orientation, your physical or mental abilities, your financial situation, your country of origin, nor your age. We welcome all into our community and in our worship. At MSPC, we are attempting to do the work that God calls us to do: to bring the Kingdom of God here on earth.
As we look outward to the community around us, we hope to build partnerships. As we engage with others, serve with others, and share a meal with others, it is our prayer that we build community with one another.
Pastor Kim is an Ordained Minister of Word and Sacrament in PC(USA) and has been the Associate Minister and Transitional Minister at MSPC since 2016. She received her BA, Religious Studies Major, and Spanish and Dance Minors from Bates College where she was also a member of the Bates Modern Dance Company. After college, she attended McCormick Theological Seminary with M. Div. Prior to joining our MSPC family, she served as Associate Pastor at Central Presbyterian Church, in Miami, served as a Young Adult in Global Mission in Argentina with the ELCA, and also as a Presbyterian Peacemaking Accompanier in Baranquilla, Colombia. When not spending time with her MSPC family, Pastor Kim loves to read, going to the beach and most importantly spending time with her daughter, Chloe, and husband, Victor. She loves to teach children about God’s love, since children are the most loving and open-minded people. Pastor Kim enjoys teaching “Bible for Kindy” and being part of the MSPCS community. There is such care and kindness among the students, staff, and families.
